Tell tell signs that you are a mother of boys!

you find Hot Wheel cars in your purse when you are searching for a pen to sign your bank statement.

When your boys come in from playing outside all day they smell somewhat similar to a dirty little wet dog.

when cleaning the toilet, it is actually more work cleaning the floor by the toilet, the front of the toilet, the sides of the toilet, that weird little groove on the sides of the toilet and the toilet rug, than the actual inside of THE toilet itself.

You go through 6-8 gallons of milk a week, also including but not limited to; 4 bags of cereal, 3 loaves of bread, a box of Graham crackers, 20 packages of Ramen Noodles and 1 tub of PB easy..........and they are still hungry!!!!

when ironing clothes you hum the theme song to "Sid the Science Kid".

FHE consists of reenactments of the Nephites going to war with the Lamanites and kicking their trash!!! (swords and all)

You own every color of Lightsabers known to man.

The "after-bath" water left in the tub is a mirky, swampy, brownish-green color. Swamp Thing would find it rather inviting.

When any word pertaining to food, candy, treats etc... is mentioned, you find your boys swarming to you like flies to poo.

There is nothing worse for your boys then washing there face off. You would think soap was made out of nitric acid....might as well pull there toe nails off with tweezers.

you use to be able to purchase 1 Hot-N-Ready pizza to feed you the hubby and maybe 2 friends, but are no longer able to include the friends, because there is NEVER any left over.

you can sing the Clifford theme song...."Clifford needed Emily, so she chose him for her own, her love made Clifford grow so big, that the Howard's had to leave there home......." you know the rest!

your laundry has tripled.

you find that your jewelery seems to be mysteriously growing legs and disappearing, only to learn that is actually hidden in a shoe box under your sons bed because it has now become "Captain Jack Sparrows treasure".

Your tampons make good use as make-believe "army grenades."

you go through band-aids and Neosporin so quickly that the neighbors are thinking about reporting you to CPS (child protection services)

Your toilet clogs at least once a week.

Your old wide mouth canning jars have now become Marriott Resorts to every creepy crawly bug in you yard.

The Soap stars you used to watch and drool over have now been replaced by Marvel Super heroes. Example, I used to love Antonia Sabato Jr. (he played Jagger on general Hospital way back in the day) I now have a crush on Iron Man.....

You turn the subtitles on when watching movies because you are now considered hearing impaired do to the noise level that comes with boys, and there seems to be only one level,............LOUD!!!!

There are 35 pair of denim jeans in your house and only 3 pairs of them still have the knees intact.

You include the maker of "Spray-N-Wash" in your prayers every night to thank the Heavens for his miraculous contribution to the world.

you have begun to think fart sounds are cool and find yourself trying to improve your own.

Burping is just another way of saying, "thanks, that was delicious."

Your cooking utensils have now doubled as army guns, or swords.

Your vacuum canister or bag is not only filled with dust bunnies and dirt but, don't forget the Lego's.

The baby doll you had when you were little is no longer swaddled and cuddled, but is now being used as a football.

There is more dirt on the clothes in your laundry then there is in your back yard.

Your "Play House" could easily house a small family of 4.

You are very familiar with the following movies; "The Never Ending Story", "The Sandlot", "Thomas the Tank Engine". etc....

Indiana Jones is still consider cool (in a non-retro way) and is topic of conversation at least 3 times per week.

Shoes and socks are impossible to keep track of, (especially on Sunday mornings when you are trying to be on time and they are no where to be found, what is up with that?!?!?!)

You have to cut your kids fingernails once a week or you could grow a row of corn under them if you didn't.

Dad is way cooler than you.

Your mother's day card has a picture of you driving an army tank, shooting the "bad guys"with random hearts hovering in the sky above.

Cookies are eaten so fast that your cookie jar now holds extra coins instead of actual cookies.

Peanut Butter is a staple.

The best part about boys................more guys to hug & kiss!!!!

Poo Balls

I recently made a trip to the dentist office and learned that I am not a freak of nature.

Explanation.

I, for who knows how long, have been known to cough up nasty, foul smelling "poo balls" (that was the name I gave them because they reek!!!) i was disgusted and didn't tell a soul because I was sure I was THE only person on the planet who did this. (except for maybe Amy Winehouse, she is pretty nasty too)

I finally got the guts to ask my dentist. Well first, I actually asked my dentist's assistant about these nasty little things that i cough up and gag on. It took alot for me to do this.

She looked at me as though i was from a different planet and had tampons hanging out my nose. then she went to ask me if i was refering to "logies" (is that even how you spell it)

No.......... Duh lady, any common Joe knows what a "logie" is, especially if you grew up with a brother like mine who would slurp up a good one and let it dangle out his mouth over your face as he pinned you down to the floor. For sure I wasn't talking about "Logies".

Enter Dr. Hill.

I love my dentist!
he instantly knew what I was refering to and actually recalled the technical name for these nasty little things,...... Tonsilloliths or commonly known as "tonsil stones".

no, this is not my mouth and this is not my "pooh ball"

So there...... I am not a freak of nature who produces, "pooh balls", I am a normal girl (kind of) who produces tonsilloliths. And I am finding out that so many people i know, do too.

P.S. now that I have posted this, I hope you will still be my friends cause that was pretty much gross ;0)

Following in his mom's footsteps...

By the look of his self-inflicted haircut, I think Jagger is considering following in his mommy's foosteps by pursuing a career as a beautician.........

Let's hope he re-considers!!!
So for now, he'll just have to stick with the no-brainer buzz!!!

Even still,..............what a little cutie pie!!!

BYU Womens Conference 2009...(Blake girls edition)

I had the marvelous opportunity to yet again attend a lovely estrogen filled week of women's conference at BYU. It was a great (and interesting, and histerical) experience! I attended this event with my adoreable mother and all 5 of my fabulous sister's, Amber, Shanelle, Brooke, Amber Hatch Blake (sis-in-law) and of course, Keelee (she counts as a sis).

Me and my sis-in-laws

I love this experience because I always return feeling spiritually up-lifted, re-motivated, and re-assured. I would recommend anyone (LDS or not) to consider attending, you will be better for it, I promise!!!

Here are some of the things I learned:

Our trials are customized just for us, to teach us what we must learn to better ourselves.

God would willingly spare us our trials. But because he loves us and knows us so well, He let's us endure trials so that we can be refined to be made perfect so we can return to live with Him again.

A hard trial means, YOU ROCK!!!!! God doesn't give us anything He knows we can't conquer, so if you are dealing or have delt with a hard trial, it is because you can do it, and you are awesome.

Look upward and move forward! After passing through a tough trial, move on or keep moving on through it.

Willingly let the Lord lead you through your trials even if you weren't so willing to accept the trial in the first place!

The atonement is used not just to cleanse but to change. If we have fully repented then we have actually "changed".

Reverence isn't just about being quiet but is a way of showing respect and love for the Savior. It is shown not only through our volume of voice, but through our actions as well.

Christ did not pay the debt for us so we would have to re-pay the debt to Him but instead He paid the debt so He could require of us to change our sins into strengths so we can become like Him.

Trials are like our own personal Grand Canyon being chipped away by a hammer and chisel or even sometimes dynamite, depending on the trial. But with each chip, or blow to the canyon walls we have just expanded our canyon and made more room to feel love and compassion for others.

That is all I can think of off the top of my head, my notes were left at my in-laws.

I bumped into Tamaryn while I was there

Some other highlights of the trip was being with my sisters and mom. It was a blast and i am pretty sure my six pack (or at least the six pack that is tucked away in the cooler ;0) ) got a good start. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. I discovered the Brick Oven in Provo and we ate there amazing pizza both nights we were there....YUM!!!

If you are going to stay overnight with my sister's and mom you must pack earplugs for Brooke's snoring; a parka, wool slippers, and a sweat pants to sleep amongst Keelee who prefers her room to be at the temperature of something similar to the Arctic circle or Antartica; a shaver for Shanelle considering she wrapped her legs around mine all night and snuggled with me; room spray for both Amber's, i will leave it at that! Duct tape for my mom to keep her quiet during all the speakers. Least to say, we had good times!!!!! Love you all.

I love the play-offs! and good neighbors

After a very crappy day of frusteration, disappointments and stress. My day couldn't have ended on a more happier note. The Jazz won the Lakers in there 3rd playoffs game, My favorite brother in law changed my car battery so Jen Gillen doesn't have to come give it a jump every morning (thanks, by the way) and Kristine Robinson brought me a big huge diet Coke after I cried and vented to her and Marcy Cullen during their hair appointments. What a day!!!! Thank heavens for lovely neighbors i can count on!!!! You guys are life-savers......really!

Easter Bunny stopped by......finally!

So the Easter Bunny finally made it over to the Weight's house this past weekend. Hurray for the easter bunny and no more sick people in my house!

Easter Fun,......and, not so fun!!!!!

The Easter Bunny has yet to visit our house. He called and said that because The Weight family has been so riddled with illness, he would wait until the weekend after Easter to make his stop and leave those much anticipated Easter treats (cadbury mini-eggs...that's what I'm talking about, baby!)

So while the rest of the worlds Easter stash has diminished over the last week, we will just be receiving are stash, and no, we will not share! You see, 2 weeks ago, I was sick with strep. Then the Thursday before Easter, James Edward came down with a very NaStY strain of strep, 2 days later Jett, had a fever of 103.7. So I was nursing them both back to help.

The very next day after Jett struck fever's, Jagger awoke from his nap with a fever and what he likes to call, "an owie ear", yes, he had an ear ache. To top it of Chase had been having croup the last couple of nights, and James Edward's strep turned into Scarlet fever!!!!!

"What the Crap?!?!?!?!?" Do we have giant red X's on our back, because we sure seem like targets for all bacteria and virus's!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, I'm tired just remembering all of that. I went to the doctors 3 x's and the pharmacist at Walgreen's has now become my new BFF and asks about my family every time I stop in to fill a prescription for one of the "sickies". In fact, last time I left to pick up Jagger's augmentin, the pharmacist waved good-bye and said, "see ya next week".

How sad.

When i got home and had all medicines lined up to give each of my 4 boys, Jagger looked at me and said, "are you the doctor, mommy?" ........Pretty much!!!! I feel like one. in fact I am opening up a family practice in my kitchen so if any of you are sick I am pretty sure I know what it is you have and I probably have the medicine to treat and administer it!!!!

These have all been in the last week...

Hence....why the Easter Bunny has failed to show his fluffy face, and floppy stinkin' ears!!!!

On a happier note we did manage to color are eggs on Friday Night, using Char's new method of dying eggs with silk ties. And even though mine didn't turn out half as great as hers (surprise, surprise, everything she touches turns to gold!) It was fun and the kids had a good time.

Our friends, Ike and Bethany got in on the action too!!!

we wrapped the ties around the eggs, and then wrapped muslin over that and put on some rubber bands to keep the fabric intact.

We then placed the wrapped eggs in a boiling solution of water and vinegar for 20 minutes.

and here we have the finished product!!! fun, and creative.
