CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS SPENCER and CARISSA
June 6th, 2008
I was the lucky one who got to style her gorgeous hair that I want so bad! I was so glad to do it and had fun hanging out with her.
Finished product. Carissa with her awesome hair and her cute sister (if you couldn't already tell) Angela
And we're off to the Salt Lake Temple for the wedding.
Introducing.......Mr. & Mrs. Brooks
Spencer and Carissa exiting the temple as newly wedded, husband and wife. Hurrrrraaaaayyy!!!
The boys weren't quite ready to give up Spencer to Carissa
The day started off early in the morning at 5:30 a.m. when Carissa and her sister Angela came to my salon so i could style her hair, and wow does she have amazing hair! I want her hair so bad! It was fun to get to do that and hang out with them.
Sweet hugs for his new wife
Next we were off to the Temple for the ceremony. I love going to sealings in the Temple. It is such a great experience to witness. Their sealer did a wonderful job. They kissed over the altar as husband and wife and the sealer talked to them a little bit about the covenants they had just made. Then he turned to Spencer and asked him if he would like to kiss her one more time. You would have thought that Spencer was a child locked in a candy shop when you heard him reply, "SURE !!!!!!", just as cute and giddy as any newly wedded, googley eyed groom would do. We all chuckled :)
The bride and groom with Grandma & Grandpa Brooks
Next we were off to the luncheon at Mimi's Cafe. It was fun to get to hang out with friends and family, eat yummy food and enjoy the moment. They were both so cute and Carissa's family is so great. I had fun getting to know them and hang around them a bit too.
My husband is so hot, I can't keep my hands off him!

The day went by so fast, but we still had the reception. We hurried over to Highland so i could touch up her hair and James could be in a few pictures since he was grooms-man. Then the party started. Her theme was "tropical", so there were gorgeous tropical flowers and their colors were coral and turquoise. The food was yummy buffet style. It had sweet meatballs, salads, nuts, veggies etc... A line was formed and the quests arrived and they kept up with that for about an hour and then the D.J. opened up the floor for dancing.

Jill and Robert Sheffer
Unfortunately, I myself was having too much fun on the dance floor to stop to take any pictures but boy i wish I would have had a camera. There are diffinately some moves I haven't quite witnessed before, but what fun it was. My huband became a person I had never seen and was acting like a wild man. It was great. We all had a fun time.
Laura & Greg Steinicke
Whitney and her husband, James
The night ended with all of us sending them off on their honeymoon in a decorated car of oreos, shaving cream, crape paper, and tin cans, with the words,"Just Married" written on the back window, of course.
Kissy, Kissy, Kissy
It was a wonderful day and we are so happy for them both along with their families. Even though it was their wedding day we kept Hazel and Glen (my mother an dfather-in-law) in our thoughts too, because June 6th is also their anniversary and Glen's Birthday too. Not only just any anniversary, but their 50th Anniversary!!! So congratulations to them both too. We love you and are excited to see ya not too long from now.
Spencer Hales, a.k.a., "The Best Man". I love this kid. He is so hillarious and fun, and boy can the kid kick it on the dance floor.
Silly girls
"No ordinance connected with the gospel of Jesus Christ is of greater importance, of more solemn and sacred nature, and more necessary to the eternal joy of man than marriage in the house of the Lord.” Joseph Fielding Smith
Best wishes to you both, We love you!
