I thought it would be fun to plant a garden this summer. Let's face it, a store bought tomato and a vine ripened tomato picked fresh, are two completely different things. So I took the boys to the store and let them pick out some seeds. We started our seeds inside our house to give them a good start. We ended up planting; roma tomatoes, onions, cilantro, jalepenos, green peppers (all the fixings for fresh salsa!) cucumbers (Chase's favorite), green beans, carrots, basil, oregano, thyme, and pumpkins.
James built some garden boxes for us so as soon as they are ready we can transfer them outside. It was a fun day and the boys had a good time, a little messy, but.....a good time!

such a good idea! I want fresh tomatoes this summer too!! I never thought of starting them inside!!!
Look at what a good mom you are to let your boys help you and look how talented you are to grow your little garden. Fun times!!
What a great idea...you are SO brave {3 boys and dirt yikes}. Looks like it turned out awesome though! I would love to start a garden...but remember that big brown dog of ours, well I think he would eat it himself. Who knows maybe we will have to give it a try...you are a great inspiration! You go girl!!
